a steamy 3 miles on thursday night... i decided to wear my headlamp for fun and thank goodness i did; it helped me avoid stepping on toads! we had some pouring rains that early evening and the toads must have been washed out. i was one stride away from stepping on them four times!
today was a humid 12 miler. my garmin died right before mile 1 so i quickly started using the stopwatch on my ipod. i was able to lap each mile and finished 12 miles in 2:10. i was aiming for 2 hours but it's not bad for the heat and humidity. the cows were out again today and the flies were immense! i don't know how they can handle all those flies!

Wow, yikes on the toads!
I don't know how they can stand the flies either, but what about that mud?! Great time on a hot 12!
