i ran 7.5 late this afternoon. i wanted to run saturday but that was not about to happen with our crazy schedule of activities. and it rained off and on (even with small size hail). i thought i would run sunday afternoon, but instead i laid down and ended up taking a 3.5 hour nap. that has not happened since i had my last baby! so i ran 7.5 miles late this afternoon. it was tough the first 2 miles. for some reason my legs felt like lead, seemed to swell a little, and they turned so red from the cold winds. i stopped at mile 2 for some light stretching and that seemed to help a little. the winds were really gusty and the last 3 miles home were against the wind the whole time. i survived. that sore spot below my knee came back around mile 4 (thankfully it was very dull). think i'll ice it tonight. i still wonder what it is. other than that, it was a good hard run in the wind. oh, i passed the burned down house and it really stunk. probably from all the rain this past weekend and then the winds stirring up the smell. here's a picture of it that i took last week. i'm now going to roll myself out!

Running in the wind makes running so much harder. Don't know about that sore spot either, but I hope it goes away.
Too bad about the house - maybe they'll rebuild.
And that was one long nap!
I think wind is the toughest condition for running! Good for you, sounds like a great run! I hope your knee turns out to be just a passing ache, ice is a great treatment. :)
