shin shananagans

i ran 3 miles this morning with my little doggy. she was a real.big.pain the first mile - pulling back and coming to a dead stop. i had to bribe her with treats to keep running. once we got out on the main street, there were a few people with dogs, which motivated her. and for the last mile and a half, she booked it. i was so proud of her! she was "chasing" after the other dogs even though they were way out of her league. what a scene.

i saw a cardinal - smooshed flat - on the road right next to the sidewalk. it was so sad. i stopped to look at it. i don't know why i do that to myself. the coloring of those birds are just stunning. this one was in our backyard last week. they come to our feeder all the time. i just love birds. now, i'm going to ice my left shin. wow. it is killing me. :(

Sorry about your shin and the bird, too. Cardinals are so pretty!

My dog pulls to go forward esp. when we first start out. I was glad when it was cold and I wore gloves - less painful on my hand when I'm being yanked forward on the leash!
