last run for 2010

i hit the greenway today - wanted to run a flat route and see how my knee felt. small pain came on around 2 miles into my run so i decided to run 5 and not 6 as the schedule says. it's not bad, it's like an annoying bruise pain in the top corner of my knee cap. it's fine now so who knows what's going on.

nonetheless, it was so much fun to run with my new watch - the garmin 305. sometimes during the run, my pace was so fast that i told the watch to quit playing tricks on me! maybe running the hilly route more often the past 2 months has helped. but when i came home, i told my man my watch was telling me sweet little lies!! he said "if a gps can land planes, it's probably not lying". ok. he wins. i just never thought i could run a 9:15 minute pace. never. hmmm...

2010 has been a year of goals meet and i am abundantly thankful to have the ability to have accomplished them. a marathon done. 1000+ miles run. protected by my Heavenly Father on every run. what more can i ask for?! i'll dream up some big goals for 2011 and write them out soon.  happy new year to my sweet running friends - and thank you for your words of encouragement and motivation. it really added fuel to my fire!

It's fun to see your pace while you're running, especially if you can't believe how fast you ran - like you! Congrats on running your 1st marathon and running bunches and bunches of miles in 2010!
