negative splits & cows

got up early this morning and ran 11 miles on the greenway with my 10yo biker girl! it was cool, cloudy and damp. the first 5.5 miles were at a comfortable pace - finished in 55 minutes. the second half was a quicker pace (still comfortable for the most part but with more effort) and finished in 53 minutes.i was quite pleased with the negative split numbers and how i felt overall. my goal is to keep progressing with the hill repeats and feeling comfortable with a quicker pace for long runs. hoping this will shave off a chunk of time when i run 26.2 someday...soon hopefully!

we had fun running by the cows a couple times today. the baby calves are so funny. they get really close to the fence and do a stare down when we stop to look at them. then they take off bouncing in the field and look back for another stare down!

That looks like such a peaceful place to run. We saw a lot of baby sheep in the fields in Scotland - so cute. Good job on running the 2nd half of the 11 miler faster!
