beach running

we took a few days off from reality and headed to the laguna beach along the gulf of mexico

i was able to enjoy an 8 mile run on sunday among the blue skies and warm sun. many runners on the main road waved which was so delightful. ran a 4 mile tempo run on monday. it was so windy. the hardest run i've done in the wind in quite some time. and very excited that i kept a 9:30 pace the entire time.

there was an orange and lemon tree in the yard of the house we stayed at. we were so tickled to reach up, peel and eat, until we realized they were sour! :(  the owner later told me they have always been that way probably since it's next to a lemon tree and not a female orange tree.

back to reality... and hill work tomorrow!

Beach running!!!!!!can I love you and be terribly jealous at the same time:) YES! Those runs sound absolutely delightful.

That's interesting about the orange tree.

Love that your pace is just rocking Kate!!! Your next 1/2 or full is going to be a PR for sure!

Great pace in the wind & fun to see the ocean while running! I have a small lemon tree and made lemon bars using the 1 lemon I found last year. Hoping for more this year!
