1 week left!

the mama or dada eastern king snake!

tuesday - ran a tempo 4 miles. probably shouldn't have run fast as i just ran 24 miles 3 days ago. i could tell my legs were tired.

wednesday - ran 6 miles an hour before dark. it was still 85! dusk was awesome - fireflies everywhere. i saw 3 cotton tail bunnies. and lightning in the distance. such a fun run!

friday - ran 4 easy paced miles with my parents dog. he's a fun one to run with!

satruday - 10 miles on the moderate trail. i used pizza flavored combos as my fuel. worked great! prayed i wouldn't run into a snake. i think God heard me pray that i wouldn't step on a snake! haha! ;) at least it was non poisonous. but it was the biggest of the three i've seen there thus far. a good 4.5 feet long and thick in the middle. he got out of my way as i got my camera out. guess he's camera shy!

well, next week is the big time taper one! i'm looking at the elevation profile and map and wondering what i've gotten myself into! ha!
