i can't seem to keep up with the blog and life lately!
the week before last week -
monday - 10 it was hot and the run kicked my butt. plain and simple.
tuesday - 4 hilly miles
wednesday - 5 tempo miles (making it a point to add more of these tempo runs to help with pace/time)
thursday - 3 hilly miles
sunday - 12 miles on the greenway. i rested fri and sat from running and was on fire for this run. kept an average 9 min pace and felt tired but so good when i was done!
i'm trying to merge back on a marathon schedule for the next 8 weeks. the 10 miler was supposed to be over the weekend but ended up being run monday morning. the 12 miler was the next long run on the schedule so i moved it to sunday evening. the gap between the longer runs was just fine.
last week - rested monday. felt sick to my stomach all day tuesday so no running for those two days.
wednesday - 6 tempo miles. felt so nice and cooler outside - breezy, cloudy and in the 70's. love it!
thrusday - 4
friday - 14
finally shifted long runs to fri or saturday's without overdoing it!
this week -
monday - 5 tempo miles
thursday - 5 hilly miles
friday - 16 miles
saturday - 3 miles
my schedule lately does not seem to reflect a good or true training one. just looking at this email shows it! i'll give it another week or two - the 18 and 20 miler run - and decide if i'm ready. i'm not in a slump. in fact, i'm just yearning to get out there and run, run, run... but life has many demands and priorities lately and if i can't run, it's ok. i'm just so thankful i am able to run and grateful when i do it!

i know what you mean about trying to fit it in. this is my favorite time of year for running too. i hope you are able to run it! looks like you are staying on track, despite the business.
i decided on the 1/2. i'm just not in marathon shape. everyone once in awhile i feel the IT band too. :(
maybe next year.
