today i hit the greenway at 9:15. my older daughter biked along with me. it rained lightly the first two miles but the trees blocked most of it. we had bad storms yesterday with heavy down pours. the trail was flooded only in one part thankfully. the first time i crossed over leaping from one steal beam to the next. there were too many spiders for my liking there!

| yay ! the turnaround point! |
on the way back i just scaled the rail. much better.
-i didn't eat breakfast. just half a banana. i couldn't eat. nothing looked good and i felt sick at the thought of eating. it was just as hard to swallow GU's. felt like i was going to get sick. thankfully, i did not feel that way when running.
-crossed a mid thigh deep flooded part of the trail twice. it was adventurous!
-my toes were hurting so bad the last mile.
-my finish time was bad (it was 75-80 degrees and 94% humidity though)
-i have caffing on my chest and back from the HRM and my legs are chaffed bad from soaking wet shorts. MUST apply glide
i'm thankful that run is done. just one of those runs where i wonder how in the world will i ever run an additional 13 miles. i know when the weather gets cooler - IF IT EVER DOES - things will get better. :)

Bless your heart! You shouldn't feel discouraged after a run like that - you should feel like a bada**!! It's like running in combat! I'm impressed you finished under those circumstances. If you can persevere 13 miles through water, tummy aches, chafing, and trees in this heat ... then you can do ANYTHING my friend!
That does look adventurous! Look at that water and the fallen tree!
Goodness, you conquered a lot of obstacles to get your miles in! Way to perservere!
haha jen, thanks :)
tina and pinky, there were quite a few obstacles! but it broke up the monotony for sure!
That is some serious water! AND HEAT and HUMIDITY! Good for you girl! It's those tough training runs that make us ready for the marathon and often the marathon can be easier then our hardest training days were!
