**snow and sleet** were on the way last night and i wanted to get a run done before i knew i'd be housebound for a day or two. so i headed out around 5:30pm and was hoping to go 3 or 4 miles. but i felt so good, and that spot above my knee was good (a teeny tad sore at times but not enough to make me say, hey now...). so i kept going. i ran in the house at mile 5 to grab a few sips from my water bottle, and tell the fam i was going for 2 more miles. came back to the house at mile 8 for a few more sips, and told them i was going for 2 more, again. i finished the 10 miles with good timing. i am loving the garmin. sometimes i look down and don't believe my pace. it pushes me to go even faster. love that!
today we walked out on the main roads where i run. it is packed down - solid ice. yuck! my son took this video. we saw a dedicated runner. i think he's in my picture from last february's snow. we keep laughing at what my son says at the end of this clip - he says he "literally feels like it's a "fall out" (as in nucelar!!). help us all!!!

That is hilarious 'fall out'
Yea! for the 10 miles and the knee feeling that good! So happy you were able to get in those miles! The Garmin is good for pushing, but can also be a bummer when you see how sloooooow you are going-well in my case anyway.
Yeah, I remember that runner from last year! Make a snowman for those of us who don't get any snow, please!
I remember him too!
So glad to hear your knee is doing better!
